The Whiskey Rebellion Festival reflects on the heritage and unique character of western Pennsylvania, primarily Washington County. The festivals honors America’s early days through historic reenactments, exhibitions and demonstrations, family activities, crafts, and heritage food and music.
The Challenge
TMI was recruited to create a marketing strategy for the Whiskey Rebellion Festival of Washington, PA. Over the years, TMI has developed generations of their website platform and provided design services to produce ads, posters, and various marketing collateral. The festival has been promoted through radio sports, digital advertising mediums, and social media channels as well as numerous publications.

The Solution
TMI’s tactics have resulted in increased attendance and overall awareness of the festival in the Tri-State area consistently from year to year. The 2015 WRF attracted nearly 20,000 visitors in a span of four days and included residents from 14 US states. In addition, the festival welcomed international travelers from Canada, Australia, England, Germany, and Austria. With strategy and creativity, TMI was able to eliminate the ebb and flow of crowds. The dedicated Facebook page has now become a hot spot for regional information regarding ongoing Americana events.
